Hello to… whoever may be reading this (Anna Shinoda?),

Thank you SO much for bringing light to mental illness and suicide with 320 Changes Direction, I can’t tell you just how much I appreciate it, and how it’s helped me in a personal way. In a crushing shock I lost my husband June 9th this year (suicide, hanging) after years of social anxiety and depression. I live in Sacramento but already have my flight and hotel booked for LA on May 9th.

The reason I’m messaging you is because I was wondering if, during the event, there would be any groups specifically for widows and widowers to get together and chat, meet others who are like us, to discuss what we lost, to remember, and most importantly how we’re learning to live without it. Making just one friend (or even just seeing that full room of people) who knows what this is like and how to get by, that would make a world of difference. Loosing a spouse to mental illness is something that should be talked about freely, without stigma. I was wondering if there is anything like this planned for the May 9th event, and if there isn’t, I would absolutely love to set something up! Maybe we could add some coffee and cookies into the mix. 🙂

Thank you for your time. We will get through this, all of us that have lost someone close, those who struggling at present, and will in the future. Strength in numbers!

    Thanks again,
    Meredith Burnett
